Review on Amazon Kindle DX – I have both a Kindle and Kindle 2 property, are already committed to the basic idea: reading e-ink in a slim form factor, with excellent connectivity for a wide range of books and subscriptions. I learned to count on my Kindle experience, and seriously improved my reading.

The DX is the ideal upgrade for me, but I have two functions on the board: a larger screen, and native PDF reader. Now I have the DX in my hands and professionals can, and report neutral CONS:

Amazon Kindle DX PROS:

- The larger screen is a plus. I use the font size bigger on my Kindle 2 (eyes of age), and in this type of cut I get a lot more text per page on the DX. The greatest experience of reading the book, how (and must do a blessing for people who buy books in large print.)

- The screen is brighter than my Kindle 2 in a side by side comparison, the text is darker and the contrast is much better, bringing the total for better visibility.

- On a side note, the larger screen also allows you to read the poem on the Kindle, even with the font size large. Inflammation previous cut lines on the small screen, you lose your mind when the poet behind the line. On the DX, you can see the whole line exactly as the poet feels, with the cut in the right place.

- The PDF reader works as expected, and is extremely favorable. PDF documents will look exactly like DX on a computer screen. You can also drag and drop files directly to your device via USB cable (or use the right of the e-mail if needed.) The only drawback, at least for documents that I used, I can not style of writing that I can with the native document Kindle.

- The screen rotation works as advertised: it works in its entirety in a smooth graphics and text, and largely offset the decline is not in place, the font size, zoom in PDF. A nice design touch: the four-way navigation on, Kindle 2, the rotation introduces sensitive Stick and move is planned in relation to the rotation of the screen.

- Storage Device screen is more devoted to decline while the white plastic frame around the screen seems to be, both in general and in relation to the plastic screen, the other on the Kindle I see this (below, but on the keyboard) .

- Storage: I like the increase in storage capacity, and the lack of an external memory card. I see some people have problems with this, but only those who either a) regularly to view PDF documents, for a total of More Than 3.5 GB of disk space make or b) have Almost £ 3,500 at the end of regular fingers. I fit into any category.

Amazon Kindle DX CONS:

- Price: It ’s expensive, as you can tell fairly quickly. If the maximum size, value, and native PDF reader, these may justify a premium of 30% you pay for the Kindle DX latter being more expensive than the Kindle DX 2, and premium of 30% is not unreasonable. But for my money, the price should Amazon Kindle 2 in the fall to $ 300 or more, and spending $ 400 or less for the DX. However, I bought it and it takes at this price.

- Navigation keys sides: all buttons are now on the right side and none on the left. I am a right-handed, so I’m not complaining, but I found myself with both sides on the second Kindle Lefties have reason to complain, I think.

- The manipulation of one hand: I often read while I walk with my Kindle in hand, and something in my other. Because of the key provision, it is increasingly difficult to DX.

- Metal-support: I miss the sticky rubber mat on my first Kindle If I put my Kindle on an inclined surface, remained in place. Not so my 2 DX and now my Kindle. This is not a complaint, the specification on DX, but it still is.

Neutral (ie, something to note):

- Weight: DX is heavier, so remarkable. This is only a problem if, like me, you regularly use to light a single hand. . . Even so, it is still feasible.

- Keyboard: The keyboard has 4 lines and 5 are not in the top row of numbers 1 and 2 of the Kindle in the top row QWERTY together, then the numbers are now available with Alt keys are thin vertically, so the entire keyboard is nothing more than an inch in height (compared to a 1.5 “for the Kindle 2). At the same time, the keys are a bit easier to push a bit ‘more than a second on the Kindle for someone with large fingers (like me) is to use a keyboard a bit ‘more difficult, but only slightly.

This is all I can see. Overall, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages for me are, and I am satisfied with my purchase. Now I think my documents to work DX on a regular basis because of the PDF reader. The screen size and screen rotation to make the experience more engaging read overall.

Amazon Kindle DX Overall ->> feels more like the text and not as a device, and is closer to the goal of the Kindle: to remove the device, only the joy of reading.
